I'll never forget my Dare class that he did in the 5th grade, around 2000. I was so scared of the police. He was the first police officer I wasn't scared of. Always kind, and made an impact on my life to stay humble and use kindness to everyone. He made an impact on the life of so many of us kids who are now adults. Rest easy and thank you!
Cecil was such a great guy! When I was two, my parents bought the house across the road from him and his parents. He had chickens and would always let me play with them. Later in life he worked with my uncle, Jim Smith, at the sheriffs department. Cecil always took time to say hello when you saw him out in public. He helped me and worked many kids and church events, teaching little ones about the sheriffs department.
Cecil's heart was pure gold. Love and prayers for family.
You were more than just an uncle...you were a guiding light and a source of inspiration! Your infectious laughter and warm smile brightened even the gloomiest days. Rest easy big uncle C I love you always and forever ❤️
Well done, thou good and faithful frien! RIP. ALWAYS A SMILE FOR EVERYONE AND A HELPING HAND!
Cecil was one of the nicest officers ever, and so cheerful and kind. In 1999, Cecil and Bobby Joe Johnson went with the All America City group to Philadelphia. They were very impressive, and contributed a lot to working with the kids. I’m sorry to hear of his passing.
Cecil was like a big brother and was so good to me and to everyone else he worked with at BCSO. He made a positive difference every single day. Prayers for his family, friends, and past co-workers from BCSO and Broughton. The world has sadly lost a hero while heaven has joyously received an angel. Rest easy my "brother" Cecil.
Cecil, you will be missed. Your smiling face and great stories. I'm so glad I was about to see and talk to you recently. Go rest high on that mountain. Prayers are with all the family. God Bless you all during this difficult time.
Sincerest condolences to an amazing man I've had the privilege of knowing since I was a small kid. Hate to hear of his passing, but Heaven gained a good one! I'm sure he is celebrating big with Jesus.
