Patsy Aileen Carswell, 79, already an angel, earned her wings Friday, December 16, 2022.
Born in Burke County, NC on April 14, 1943, she was the first twin of the late Reid Carswell and Ora Lee Duckworth Carswell. Patsy was a graduate of Oak Hill High School and continued her love for learning throughout her life. Knowledge is power, and she was one strong lady. Miss Carswell was a member of Quaker Meadows Presbyterian Church. Spiritual growth was very important to her, and she ministered to her family and friends.
Those left to cherish her memory include her sisters, Lorene Carswell (her twin) and Judith Glenn; brother, Douglas Carswell; niece, Felicia; and many devoted friends.
In addition to her parents, Patsy was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Otis Glenn, Jr.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m., Thursday, December 22, 2022 at Sossoman Funeral Home. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. in the Colonial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Tamika Garrison officiating. A private graveside service will be held Quaker Meadows Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

Pasty was a very sweet and kind lady .My family and I was glad to have gotten to meet her thru hearts n harmony Gospel singing they use to have in Glen Alpine . She was a special lady .My thoughts and prayers go to the family of patsy . Forever in our hearts until we meet again.🌈💞🙏😥✨

I am so sorry to hear of Patsy's passing. We shared many good times at Relay For Life in Buke County. Patsy was a good friend and I pray for peace for her family.
I am so sorry for the families lost, I am praying and believing for God’s comfort! I know Patsy has now seen the face of Jesus and is at her real home. She was always a joy to talk with. At times when our paths crossed I would do my best to minister to her, but her strength, joy & love of God always ministered to me more than I to her!
