Julie Elaine Epley of Morganton, NC, went home to be with Jesus on Wednesday, December 25, 2024.

Born in Avery County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Ray Pagan and Sarah Isaacs Johnson.

Although a private person, Julie stated that if anyone asked how she wanted to be remembered, it would be “I give Jesus credit for everything good in my life. I love my husband and sister forever. I was crazy about animals and loved Snickers.”

Julie is survived by her husband, Dean Epley; and a sister, Lisa Welch.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m., Sunday, January 5, 2024 at Sossoman Funeral Home. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. in the Colonial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Don Bledsoe officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Dean...so sorry for your loss. I did not know that she was possibly sick. We worked together for so many years and became good friends. I will cherish that.
