Denver Franklin Loan, 69, of Morganton, NC, left this earth for his heavenly home on Thursday, May 21, 2026 with his loving wife of 41 years, Jackie, by his side.

Denver was a member of Missionary Ridge Baptist Church. He retired from Lowes Home Improvement with over 15 years of service. He also worked as an auctioneer for years in Virginia and North Carolina. Denver also enjoyed working on the farm with his cows and horses. He was a die-hard Ford fan, and he had a great sense of humor and loved to make people laugh. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m., Friday, June 5, 2026 at Burkemont Baptist Church. The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. in the church with Rev. Dr. Eddy Bunton and Chaplain Tom Nesbit officiating. Burial will follow in Missionary Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family would like to express their appreciation to his caregivers over the last four years, Savannah, Lindsie, Aggie, Amanda, and Paula, and Chaplain Tom Nesbit, who became family to Denver and Jackie.
