Tracey J. Vaaler, 66, of Valdese, NC passed away, Tuesday, August 12, 2025. Born on March 3, 1959, she was the daughter of Lois Vance and the late Marvin Vance.
Tracey is survived by her husband, Laurence Vaaler; stepchildren, Jennifer Vaaler, Lauren Pless (Matthew); granddaughter; Magnolia Pless; brothers, Keith Vance, Denver Vance (Mary); sister, Patricia Drinkard.
The family will receive friends from 2pm until 3pm, Sunday, August 17, 2025 at Sossoman Funeral Home. A funeral will be held in the Colonial Chapel of the funeral home at 3pm.
Memorial contributions may be made to Amorem Hospice.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.

I am so saddened to hear of Tracey’s passing. Many years ago we were neighbors and became friends. Tracey was a treasured friend, so very creative, smart, and a hard worker. Her generosity and kindness was sincere and I was so happy to see her a few times in the past few years and chat. My condolences to her husband and family. Tracey, Your kind heart, smile that lit up any room, laughs and sweet hugs will be missed so much. I love you and miss you. I enjoyed talking about life together on the porch, watching you work in your garden and your ambitious personality that would motivate all of us. Thank you for always supporting my family and I.
