Rest In Heaven Ronnie. It was a pleasure to help take care of you. You were my very first client and I loved getting to help and learn about you. You were a sweet and humble man. He loved to talk about his wife and son's, the weather and of course we always talked about sports. He could get a little upset if his food wasn't made exactly like he wanted, but he had that right. I know you will be missed by so many. Prayers for your sons and their families.
Boys, I am sorry to hear of Ronnie's passing. He was a good man with 2 great sons Prayers and blessings for the whole family.
Prayers forSteve and Chips families.I am sure treasure your days in South Forest. Your parents are greatly missed. Godspeed.
I am saddened to hear of his passing. I have known Ronnie only for about 5 years, but he left a lasting impression. JUST a soft hearted teddy bear with a grumpy disposition. He would go out of his way to help people who needed it, but would also be upset if the mayonaise was too thick on his PB and banana sandwich or his coffee was cold. SO i guess he was more a sour patch grandpa. Such a character. He would talk your ear off reminiscing about growing up in Glen Alpine and his personal football triumphs to his working as a Drivers Ed teacher, Drexel, and Poultry company. He spoke so often of his love for playing Golf and how much he missed it after loosing his leg. HE had complete joy in watching football, basketball, and baseball, he relived his youth with every game. And reading newspapers and watching Fox news was a highlight everyday! He could tell you whether the weather was supposed to be hot as Hades in 7 days, what day last week someone was arrested for shoplifting at Wally's, and/or that the Queen didn't wear a hat "one" time and the people in UK were flabbergasted. Then his entire thought out opinion on all 3! The one thing that makes my heart happy in this moment is knowing he is reunited with his beloved wife. He loved her so much. Talked about her with so much pride in all she did as a woman in her generation. How she made him a better man with each day. He loved his boys so much, bragged on them with so much joy. And his Grand kids Too! He often talked daily to his many friends from high school and beyond. THIS man would keep in touch that is for sure. His friends meant the world to him. MY CONDOLENCES to his family. Know that while not a long time friend, i am moved by your loss. I am just a call away if you need me for anything.
To Steve, Chip and other family members: please know that I know you are dealing with a huge loss at this time. It’s painful. Lean on each other and your faith. I regret that I will not be able to make it to Ronnie’s funeral service and to greet you. I will be out of town to attend a medical appointment. I will be thinking of you that day. To Steve and Chip: I’ve known the family a long time and have always enjoyed your friendship. You guys are strong and with the support of your family members you can manage your dad’s loss. You had a great dad. Peace to each of you.
