Roger D. Fox, 69, of Morganton, NC gained his Heavenly home on Sunday, July 2, 2023. He was born on March 19, 1954 in Caldwell County to the late Fred Fox and Dorothy Harris Fox. Roger was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and friend who loved his family. He had a great sense of humor. Roger was a talented woodworker and loved doing anything outside especially mowing the grass. He loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Wanda Maloney Fox; grandchildren, Krista Fox, Kaneisha O’Neil, and Gabriella Fox; great-granddaughter, Laiya Lynn; sister, Evelyn Childers (Dennis); numerous nieces, nephews and extended family; brother by choice, Jim Hallyburton.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter, Angela Lynn Fox; sisters, Geraldine McKinney and Belinda Cline.

The family will receive friends from 5-7pm Thursday, July 6, 2023 at Sossoman Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 11am, Friday July 7, 2023 in the Colonial Chapel of the funeral home with Jim Hallyburton, Dakota Wilson and Jason Thompson officiating. Burial will follow at Glen Alpine Cemetery.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
