Randy Eugene Powell

Randy Eugene Powell, 52, of Marion, NC, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 13, 2024.

Born in Burke County, NC on July 12, 1972, he was the son of Ronald Larry Powell and Vickie McTier Calloway (Greg).

Randy liked to tell jokes and stories and loved doing anything outside, especially hunting and fishing. He had a loving, giving heart. Randy loved his PawPaw, Spurge, and loved learning from him.

In addition to his parents, Randy is survived by his children, Garrett Powell and Amanda Powell Fuller; brother, Chris Carswell (Becky); and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Randy was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ira Eugene “Nook” Powell and Ruth Powell; and uncle, Donald Gary Powell.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m., Saturday, January 4, 2025 at Sossoman Funeral Home. The memorial service will follow at 2 p.m. in the Colonial Chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Alan Sailors officiating.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
