Pamela Warlick Simmons, 68, of Morganton, NC passed away on Saturday, April 12, 2025. She was born on August 7, 1956 in Burke County to the late Rex Warlick and Virginia Cruz Warlick. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Gene Warlick.

Pam was a hard worker who enjoyed staying busy. She was employed at Wal-Mart in Morganton for 32 years, serving as Department Manager for over 20 years. She also held various secondary jobs at local businesses. She officially retired in 2019 and devoted her retirement to family, traveling, camping, and crafting. She was truly gifted at creating personalized scrapbooks, heartfelt greeting cards, and a variety of novelty items that she lovingly gifted to others and sold at craft shows. She would pour countless hours into designing the perfect gift or card, taking great care to consider the recipients tastes and what would bring them joy. Observing others appreciate and admire her creations brought her great joy.

Pam is survived by her husband of thirty-four years, Wayne Simmons; son, Steve Kiddy (Sharon); stepdaughter, Ashley Kahl (Steven); stepson, David Simmons (Jennifer); grandchildren, Jessi and Courtney Kiddy, James and Ella Kahl, Lawson, Noah, and Charlotte Simmons; great-grandchildren, Madelyn and Ashton; sister, Karen Walker (Tim); half-sister, Dolly; half-brother, Jimmy; and canine companion, Pepper.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m., Friday, April 18, 2025 at Sossoman Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. in the Colonial Chapel of the funeral home.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Steve and Sharon, I'm so sorry for your loss. I wished I had the opportunity to have met her, because with a son like Steve she had to have been a wonderful person. My thoughts and prayers are with your family at this time.
