Marty Allen Keller, 61, of Morganton, NC, gained his angel wings Monday, February 6, 2023.

Born in Burke County, NC on April 25, 1961, he was the son of the late Clarence Allen Keller and Macie Jean Keller. Marty loved his family and his dog, Half-Pint. He enjoyed doing anything outdoors, but his favorite activity was raising and caring for his game roosters. Marty also enjoyed listening to bluegrass music.

Mr. Keller is survived by his significant other, Sherry Woody; son, Rusty “Bo” Keller; step-son, Steve Woody: step-daughter, Kelly Ballard; half-sister, Jessica Finkle; nephew, Dusty Keller; and numerous cousins and extended family, including his “adopted” sons.

In addition to his family, Marty was preceded in death by a brother, Richy Guy Keller.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11:30 a.m., Saturday, February 11, 2023 at Sossoman Funeral Home. The funeral will be held at 11:30 a.m. in the Colonial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Charlie Ray. Burial will follow in Calvary Church Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or to Via Health Partners.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
