We are so sorry to learn about the death of your mother. “ Bea” was such a sweet, caring person. John especially remembers her wonderful cooking. When we visited your parents, Bea and I would walk through her flowers and talk about how our flowers were growing, weed problems, etc. John and Lee always talked about their gardens comparing their success with different vegetables! They were both very proud of their gardens each year! Your parents were both very special people and John and I loved them dearly. We will joyfully make a contribution to the Cemetery Fund at Missionary Ridge Baptist Church in memory of your parents.

—John and Linda Brackett

Sorry for your loss. Prayers for your family.

Rest easy my friend.

Laura was my sister in law, but I always felt like she was as close as a sister. She had the most kind and gentle spirit, you loved being around her. Always a smile and a pleasant word. My wife and I got to spend some time with her in October and it was such a blessing. She will be greatly missed but we rejoice that she is in her permanent home with loved ones and our Lord Jesus.

—Mark Pruett

Dear Bea was a great friend. She and her husband were cherished members of our church back in Hubert NC. After they moved back to WNC, my wife and I enjoyed stopping by to visit them on our way to vacation in the mountains. They were ever ready to ply us with goodies from their incredible garden as we departed. With always a kind word seasoned with a bit of humor, Bea was a true gem who is now sore missed by us, her church family back east and I am certain her family and friends around Morganton. I am happy she is reunited with her dear husband Lee and resting comfortably in the arms of her Savior.
