LaTonya Lynn Wise, 41, of Black Mountain, NC, passed away Saturday, February 1, 2025.
Born in Mecklenburg County, NC on June 25, 1983, she was the daughter of Kathy Wise Wright.
LaTonya was a strong individual and a pure angel. She loved visitors, taking strolls, country music, fuzzy blankets, and Curious George.
In addition to her mother Kathy (step-father; Trent Henson), LaTonya is survived by Pop, Lawrence Tensley; brother, Grady Wright (Summer); sister, Jessica Wright; uncle, Darrel Jones; aunt, Corrina Robinson; and nieces and nephews, Jazmine Poteet, Brandon Swink, Zeke Wright, Layla Poteet, Kylee Wright, Titan McCormack, Dallas Wright, Cherish Wright, Wyatt McCormack, Champ McCormack, Maximus Wright, and Izeah McCormack; great-nephew, Kingston Wright.
LaTonya was preceded in death by her grandparents, Grady and Bessie Wise; nephew, Ethan Allen Wright; niece, Tyra Poteet; and uncle, Dwight Wise.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 4 p.m., Thursday, February 6, 2025 at Sossoman Funeral Home.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.

I'm so sorry about Latonya. I had the privilege of being her CNA at The Black Mountain Center. She was a sweet young woman and I'll miss her.

Angel girl you were a blessing here on earth to so many you ll never be forgotten it wasnt fair the way you had to spend your life in that old wheel chair but look at now with them wings and that glorious body go fly high find your family until we meet again we sure got a lot of catching upto do love you sweet baby girl
