Jimmy Mull, 92, of Morganton, NC, passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2026.

Born in Burke County, NC on June 28, 1933, he was the son of the late Henry Osbin Mull and Mary Ethel Shuping Mull.

Jimmy was a US Army veteran of the Korean War and a charter member of St. Matthews United Methodist Church. He enjoyed farming, days at the hardware store, and working on cars. An outgoing man, Jimmy never met a stranger. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who never failed to show his love for his family.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Elizabeth Gertrude Clark Mull; sons, Jimmy Mull, II (Donna), Timmy Mull (Melissa), Tommy Mull (Karen), Philip Mull (Leslie), and Michael Mull (Wendy); grandchildren, Jimmy Mull III (Jennifer), Travis Mull (Leslie), Codi Mull, Kaitlyn McKinney (Robert), Mary Jones (Jay), Stephen Mull (Leah), Leah Dixon (Dylon), Garen Mull, Zion Mull, and Sidney Mull; nine great-grandchildren; special caregiver, Cassie Duckworth; and his beloved canine companion, Cokie.

In addition to his parents, Jimmy was preceded in death by his first wife, Rhonda Hass Mull; and a sister, Freida Mull Bingham.

The graveside service will be held at 4 p.m., Tuesday, May 5, 2026 at Forest Hill Cemetery with Revs. Jacob Lancaster and Randy Clark officiating. Military honors will be provided by the NC National Guard and Caldwell County Veterans Honor Guard.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Matthews United Methodist Church, Amorem Hospice, or to Samaritan’s Purse.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
