It is with deep sorrow that we share the passing of James Anthony "Andy" Williams, 52, who passed away at his home on August 6, 2026.
Born on July 11, 1974, in Guilford County, North Carolina, Andy was the son of the late Norman E. Williams and Alma Jackie Hawkins Williams.
Andy dedicated much of his professional life to the welding industry, where he earned the respect of his colleagues for his exceptional skill in metal fabrication and his ability to solve complex technical challenges. He took great pride in his craftsmanship; a trade he learned working in the shop alongside his father. His strong work ethic, knowledge, and willingness to assist others were hallmarks of both his professional and personal life. He will be remembered for his quick wit, generous spirit, and readiness to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
Those left to cherish his memory include his spouse, Heather Woody; his three sons, Caimen Williams, Malaki Woody, and Jax Williams; his grandson, Travis Williams; his brothers, Bryan (Betty) Williams and Jeremy (Crystal) Williams; and his sister, Kristy (Curt) Bromley. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and many cherished cousins.
In addition to his parents, Andy was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, James Cecil Hawkins and Edith Marie Page, and his paternal grandparents, Lucile Inez Causey and Oscar James Williams.
A private family graveside service will be held at a later date.
The family extends their sincere appreciation to Sossoman Funeral Home of Morganton for their compassionate assistance and care during this difficult time.

Sucks good dude !
I know your life here was not always easy all the pain you tried to keep hidden inside The burdens that so often tormented your mind You covered up with jokes and smiles I pray that you are safe with God now No longer carrying that heavy load I pray that your soul is finally free and not walking that same dark road I will forever carry all of our memories of our younger years so carefree You were always laughing and so full of life And doing your best to look out for me Gone from earth but never forgotten My big little brother, you'll always be No more heartaches, sickness or pain From the chains of earthly bondage you're free. I love you <3
