Issac E. “Buddy” Fisher, of Morganton, NC, was surrounded by family when he departed this life on Thursday, May 28, 2026 – five days before his 76th birthday.

Born in Rutherford County, NC on June 2, 1950, Buddy was the son of the late Claude Harlon Fisher and Lillie Mae Jones Fisher.

In addition to his parents, Buddy is preceded in death by his son, Barry Fisher; brothers, Lawrence, Paul, Henry, and Charles Fisher; and sisters, Beatrice Webb, Hazel McNeely, and Mary Ann Morrow.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 33 years, Daleleen Herron Fisher; son, Elijah Fisher; step-son, Jason Dobson; granddaughters, Elizabeth Fisher and Emily Fisher; great-grandson, PeterBarrett Fisher-Gucwa; brother, Steve Fisher and wife, Judy; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Buddy was a devoted part of his community and served as a life member of the Morganton Elk’s Lodge, Silver Creek Baptist Church, Catawba Valley Masonic Lodge #217, and sat on numerous community action boards throughout his life. He was a passionate entrepreneur and real estate developer, dabbling in various enterprises, largest of which was his company Triangle Contractors Inc., which he owned and operated for 43 years.

A gathering of friends and celebration of Buddy’s life will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., Friday, June 5th, 2026 at Silver Creek Golf Club, 4241 Plantation Dr. Morganton. A private family funeral will be held on Wednesday, June 3 at Silver Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Dwayne Buchanan officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Silver Creek Baptist Church at 4504 Silver Creek Church Rd. Morganton, NC. 28655.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
