Franklyn Clagett Leister, 87, of Jonas Ridge, NC, passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2025. He was born on December 29, 1937 in Baltimore, MD to the late Bruce Leister and Irene Leister. Franklyn was a veteran of the United States Army stationed in Germany. After his military service, he went to work for IBM. He enjoyed golfing and boating. Frank was a member of the Charleston Auxiliary Coast Guard. For 15 years, he was a docent at the Historic Edmonston Alston House.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Christine Leister; brother, George Knight; granddaughter, Maya Leister.
Frank is survived by his wife, Renate Mller Leister; son, Mike Leister (Terry Shulman); grandchild, Jai Owen Qureshi.
