I had the honor of working with Doug closely for many years. Doug always took the time to patiently with a kind word pass along his knowledge and expertise in everything we did. He would let me make mistakes in order to teach me how to do it right that many times was frustrating but overtime I thanked him for it. Doug always looked out for my interests and offered quiet guidance to my life challenges which I will always hold close to my heart. I will miss him and his smile more than I can express we had some very funny things happen together that made us laugh and chuckle about what life serves us each day. His rock, solid faith was always an inspiration to me, especially in my darkest moments. He always encouraged me when I fell to get up and keep going. He was a man of many talents and much kindness. I will never forget his smile and wink when I mess things up and he never judged me only encouraged me. The world needs more people now more than ever like Doug he will be sorely missed by all, and I’ll always see him and feel his presence in my life at the farm and in the quiet moments on the land he taught me so much about .May he rest in peace. Miss you bud .

I was so shocked to hear about my ole friend. Memories came rushing back of the years we worked, hunted, ride horses and just goofed off. My heart is broken. Prayers for Terisa and family.

Doug was an amazing uncle. I will always have great memories of visiting him as a kid. He always got me a drink out of his soda machine in his shop which I thought was awesome. In college he let me bring friends to ride horses. He was patient and kind and always greeted me with a smile. I am very sorry I can't be at the memorial because we are out of town. I cherish wonderful memories of him always.
