Doreen Watts Caudill, 83 of Morganton, NC went to be with her Lord and Savior, Thursday, August 28, 2025. She was born on January 17, 1942, to the late Wilson Duckworth and Geneva D. Reinhardt. She was an active member of Quaker Meadows Presbyterian Church and the Women’s Circle.

A loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Doreen is survived by her husband of 36 years, Randy Caudill; daughter, Deanna W. Hines (Jeff); son, Michael Watts (Sheri); bonus son, Scott Caudill (Gena); bonus daughter, Chesnee Jackson (Jamil); grandchildren, Justin Caudill (Megan), Devon Caudill, Ericka Caudill, Paige Bowery (Nathan Breon), Rachel Watts, Nathan Watts, and Tiffany Hines (Dustin Houser); great-grandchildren, Mozi Jackson, Kaison Jackson, Amias Jackson, Kamilla Jackson, Maverick Caudill, and Hannah Breon; brother, Kenny Duckworth; bonus sisters, Vickie Porter and Faye Buxton; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

In addition to her parents, Doreen was preceded in death by her brothers, Harold and Wayne Duckworth; and sister-in-law, Billie Duckworth.

The family will receive friends from 11am until noon, Saturday, September 13, 2025, at Quaker Meadows Presbyterian Church. A funeral will follow at noon in the sanctuary with the Rev. Andrew Parkey and Rick Leisner, CLP, officiating. There will be a private family burial at Burke Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Quaker Meadow’s Presbyterian Church Women’s Circle.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
