David Allen Joker Pearson, 55, passed away Thursday, March 20, 2025.
Born in Virginia on October 25, 1969, he was the son of the late Phifer Pearson and Shirley Parker Pearson.
David was a former member of Burkemont Baptist Church. He was proud alumnus of Freedom High School for which he was a competition swimmer. He was known for his warm smile and generous nature, traits that endeared him to many. Davids love for the outdoors was evident to all who knew him. Whether it was hiking the majestic trails, camping under the stars, or simply enjoying a quiet afternoon in nature, David found peace and joy in the natural world. His passion for the outdoors was only surpassed by his love for his family. Mr. Pearson was a very charming man who loved to make people laugh.
David is survived by his children, Dakota Allen Pearson and Kalie Elizabeth Pearson; and grandchildren, Alleigh Pearson, Izzy, Phoenix, and Dakota Pearson.
The graveside service will be held at 12:30 p.m., Thursday, March 27, 2025 at Burkemont Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Eddy Bunton and Rev. Dr. Keith Stephenson officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Burkemont Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 4668 Burkemont Road, Morganton, NC 28655.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
