Brandy Christina Poole, 40, of Morganton, NC, went to her heavenly home on Monday, January 26, 2026.

Born in Burke County, NC on June 6, 1985, she was the daughter of Ricky Pool and Jill Gilley Poole.

Brandy attended Freedom High School and worked at the Jamestown Flea Market. She expressed herself through fashion, jewelry, makeup and decorating. She loved arts and crafts and she had a natural way of turning ordinary things into something beautiful.

Her greatest love, however, was her family, whom she cherished deeply. Brandy’s heart was gentle, creative, and full of love, and she carried that love into everything she did. She also shared a special bond with her beloved cats, Sassy and Bubby, who brought her constant companionship and joy.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Sara Flack; father, Ricky Poole; mother, Jill Gilley Poole (David Conner); brother, Jacob Conner, sister, Ashley Poole; aunts, Lynn Glass, Dana Sain, and Julie Berry; uncle, Timothy Poole; cousins, Carla Surratt, Trey Glass, Michael Austin, and Cherish Sain; and numerous extended family.

Brandy was preceded in death by her grandmother, Jean Dixon and Pauline Poole; and uncles, Michael Glass and Ronnie Poole.

A celebration of Brandy’s life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sossoman Funeral Home, PO Box 2608, Morganton, NC 28680 to help with expenses.

The sadness and disbelief overwhelms me as I find myself having to send my condolences so soon. Brandy, a woman and a mother that was so humble and had a soft-spoken nature, could turn into a fierce protector at the drop of a dime when it came to her loved ones, especially over my niece Sara Flack. Your name, Brandy, will forever be etched in our memories, never to be forgotten. This is not a goodbye, but a temporary farewell until we meet again. Please watch over us from above, as Heaven has undoubtedly gained a beautiful Angel. Rest in peace, Brandy. Love always, Jessica Flack.

Brandy was such a beautiful person to be around. We were tight in Table Rock Middle School, oh what memories... Brandy was on point with her perfect bangs, I was so jealous.. The old skating ring days was a blast, she always was down to go have fun and keep everyone smiling... So much time has went by but her beauty never changed... Brandy loved her baby girl Sara, she was so scared when she went into labor while we were camping but once Sara came into this world she became Brandy's world... Brandy you will be truly missed but I'm glad your no longer hurting and now in a place where you are free... RIP Brandy
