Betty Carswell Moore, 92 of Morganton, NC went home to her Heavenly Home, Wednesday, March 5, 2025. Born on August 27, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Manley Carswell and Flossie Carswell Harriell. Betty was a member of Asheville Street Baptist Church. She loved being in the sun and going to the mountains. She enjoyed working on puzzles, word searches and jigsaw puzzles. Betty worked for many years at Silver Creek Restaurant. Betty never met a stranger and was loved by all she met.
Betty is survived by her children, Gary Lee Moore, Debra Moore Beam (Doug), Kathy Moore Bradshaw; grandchildren, Terry Moore, Brandon Beam (Paige, Wesley Beam (April), April B. James (Josh), Chris Bradshaw; great-grandchildren, TJ Moore, Elias Smith, Madison Beam, Paxton Cushing, Alaina Beam; step-greatgrandchildren, Eli Thomas, Parker Thomas.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Paul Moore; brothers, Duke Carswell and Bill Carswell; granddaughter, Susan Reavis.
A graveside service will be held at noon, Friday, March 14, 2025 at Burke Memorial Park.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Betty Moore (Mamaw) was such a blessing to everyone she met. Her laugh, kindness, love she showed to everyone. She accepted me as Family. I will miss her so much. Heaven gained a Beautiful Angel! Praying for the Moore Family.
Debbie, Doug, Kathy and Gary, Love to all of you. I will always cherish and remember my days at Tastee Freeze; working with Betty and most of you. We had some great times. All of you are in my thoughts and prayers!
You will certainly be missed Aunt Betty. We had some wonderful times working together at Tastee-Freeze. Praying for peace and comfort for all of our family during this time.
