Betty Carswell Moore, 92 of Morganton, NC went home to her Heavenly Home, Wednesday, March 5, 2025. Born on August 27, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Manley Carswell and Flossie Carswell Harriell. Betty was a member of Asheville Street Baptist Church. She loved being in the sun and going to the mountains. She enjoyed working on puzzles, word searches and jigsaw puzzles. Betty worked for many years at Silver Creek Restaurant. Betty never met a stranger and was loved by all she met.

Betty is survived by her children, Gary Lee Moore, Debra Moore Beam (Doug), Kathy Moore Bradshaw; grandchildren, Terry Moore, Brandon Beam (Paige, Wesley Beam (April), April B. James (Josh), Chris Bradshaw; great-grandchildren, TJ Moore, Elias Smith, Madison Beam, Paxton Cushing, Alaina Beam; step-greatgrandchildren, Eli Thomas, Parker Thomas.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Paul Moore; brothers, Duke Carswell and Bill Carswell; granddaughter, Susan Reavis.

A graveside service will be held at noon, Friday, March 14, 2025 at Burke Memorial Park.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
