Willie Lee Gross, 72, of Connelly Springs, NC passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2026. He was born on November 17, 1953 in Petersburg, VA to the late A. A. Gross and Rachel Mayes Gross. Willie liked watching football and was a big Colts fan. He loved the mountains, classic cars and fishing. He also liked building things and had built many log cabins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Roberta Metcalf Gross.
He is survived by his sons, Chad Limbo, Wesley Berry, Joshua Starr (Ashley), and Jessie Gross; daughter, Maria Gross (Donald Stansberry); grandchildren, Emma Starr, Alexa Star, Hayden Hartsoe, Logan Starr, Amber Gross Jade Gross and Zander Stansberry; brothers, Ray Gross and Danton Buff (June); sister, Tina Gross; nephew, Waylon Smith; niece, Jennifer Smith.
No services are planned at this time.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
