William W. “Bill” Stubbs, 71, of Morganton, NC passed away Thursday, May 4, 2017. Born in Burke County, NC on February 23, 1946, he was the son of the late Wyman W. Stubbs and Evelyn Louise Brittain Veit. Bill was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War.
Mr. Stubbs is survived by his wife, Judy Burkert Stubbs of the home; a daughter, Melissa Stubbs Tevepaugh and husband, Scottie, of Morganton; 2 granddaughters, Grace and Olivia Tevepaugh; brother, Sam Smith and wife, Annette, of Morganton; and sister, Pat Walker and husband, Phillip, of Brunswick, GA.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family.
