William McDowell

William McDowell, 67, of Morganton joined his other family members in heaven on Friday, May 24, 2019.  Born in Georgia on December 13, 1951, he was the son of Louise Sandlin McDowell and the late James McDowell.  William was a loving, caring person with a huge heart.  He worked for years as a landscaper and missed working when he became disabled.  He enjoyed going fishing and walking, which he is now able to do again.

In addition to his mother, William is survived by his brother, James McDowell; sister, Linda Mull; cousin, Nora Fernett; aunt, Dorothy Jones; and numerous other extended family members and friends.

The memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at the Brian Center East in Hickory.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
