William “Cameron” Miller, 58, of Nebo, North Carolina, passed away on July 12, 2026.

Born in Morganton, North Carolina, Cameron lived a life devoted to his family, his community, and the many young lives he impacted throughout coaching. To those who knew him, he was a loving husband, father, son, and friend whose kindness and encouragement left a lasting impression.

An avid outdoorsman, Cameron found peace and happiness hunting and fishing at Lake James since he was a child. Some of his favorite memories were made on family trips to the ocean, where he loved casting a line from the beach and spending time with those he loved most.

One of Cameron’s greatest passions was coaching football and baseball for Glen Alpine. He believed sports were about much more than winning games—they were an opportunity to teach young people respect, perseverance, teamwork, and the values that would carry them through life.

Above all else, Cameron’s greatest love was his family. He will be remembered for his generous heart, his unwavering support of those he loved, and the countless memories he created with family and friends. Though his presence will be deeply missed, his legacy will live on in the lives he touched, the lessons he taught, and the love that he shared.

Cameron is survived by his beloved wife, Amy Miller; his sons, Ethan Miller and Evan Miller; his mother, Nina Miller; and his sister, June Crowder.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Miller, and his sisters, Jan Pollard and Joan Arrowood.

No services are planned at this time.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
