William Bobbie “Bob” Fox, 87, of Nebo, NC, passed away Thursday, August 21, 2025.
Born in Burke County, NC on April 22, 1938, he was the son of the late Ransom E. Fox and Eva Pearl Carswell Fox.
Bob was a veteran of the US Army and a member of Trinity Hill Baptist Church.
Those left to cherish his memory include his son, William Fox and wife, Helena Oscarius Fox, of Stockholm, Sweden; daughter, Dianna Clark and husband, Clarence, of Lake James; and grandchildren; William Carpenter and Alexander Fox.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Winnie Browning Fox; brother, Jim Fox; and sisters, Doris “Nook” Fox and Francis Bumgarner.
No services are planned for Mr. Fox.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Mr.Fox was a sweet man who helped me several times with some unexpected plumbing issues. He knew about the history of my house and shared stories about the history of his house and our community which were interesting.. I enjoyed talking with him and hate to hear of his passing. My condolences to the family.
Dianna, so sorry for the loss of your Dad. My sister,my self and mom and dad rode by your old home 2 Saturday's ago and was wondering how your parents were. We started to stop but we didn't. Mama always thought a lot of your dad. Prayers for all the family. With Love Terry Baker Moses
