William "Bill" Bell, 77, of Morganton, NC died Saturday, December 5, 2009. Born June 26, 1932, he was the son of the late Warner Norman Bell and Ella Frances Jordan Bell. He attended St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church and Calvary Lutheran Church in Morganton. Bill graduated from Palm Beach High School and then attended the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. Bill retired from Binnings – Pan American in Pompano Beach, FL and previously, along with his father, brothers, and sister, owned and operated Bell House Windows and Doors, Inc. He moved to North Carolina about three years ago from West Palm Beach, FL.Bill is survived by his wife of 52 years, Judith "Judy" Carlin Bell of the home; sons, Brian Bell and wife, Carisa, of Fort Lauderdale, FL and Clifton Bell and wife, Nicole, of Boynton Beach, FL; daughters, Judith "Angie" Wright and husband, Chris, of Lake Worth, FL, and Stephanie Crisafulli and husband, Dave, of Clayton, NC; granddaughters, Ashley Bell, Emily Bell, Morgan Bell, Laila Bell, Nicole McNab, Jessica House, Corey Crisafulli, and Jamie Crisafulli; brothers, James, Jay, Burton, and Thomas Bell; and sisters, Charla Stuart, Jean Weir, Frances Mathis, and Linda Bell.In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by a son, William N. Bell, II, and a brother, Frank Bell.A celebration of Bill’s life will be held at noon, Tuesday, December 8, 2009 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Riley officiating. Military honors will be provided by Valdese American Legion Post #234. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until noon.
