Wayne You died on Thursday at forty-three An entire seven months younger than me. I couldn't see you before you died I just hope you know that I tried. I went to your funeral yesterday I have so many things left to say. I will miss the adventures and stories galore I already miss that there will be no more. I sat in the back, hearing story after story So many instances of unbridled glory. The hardest part was watching your boys The tears, the shock, and their poise. You would've been proud of just how strong I'm not sure I would've last that long You were my partner in crime and number one When we were young and chasing the fun. We both loved to find the humor in things So allow me to share some of the happenings. Elvis Presley came and he was preaching It's hard to focus staring at the hair of the King. The circus of family, friends, and the like Would have had you smiling with delight The same old crew, one more or one less I will miss only you, I must confess. Dearest cousin, I love you and know You'll be healed and happy when you go. So, safe travels to you for your journey away And I will be missing you every day.
