Wanda Penley Wellman, 67, of Morganton, NC passed away Monday, May 27, 2019. Born on March 9, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Florence Penley. Wanda was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.
She loved her dog, watching old westerns, scrapbooking, and spending time with her family.
Wanda is survived by her son, Shawn Wellman (Erika); brother, Lester Penley; numerous nieces and nephews; and her beloved canine companion, Dakota.
In addition to her parents, Wanda is preceded in death by her siblings, Irene Burns, Wilma Smith, Vester Penley, Deloris Penley, Mabel Brookshire, and William Penley.
The family will receive friends from 2pm until 3pm, Saturday, June 1, 2019 at Sossoman Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life will be held at 3pm in the Colonial Chapel of the funeral home. Interment will follow at Burke Memorial Park.
