Wanda Holland Dula, 75, of Morganton, NC went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 3, 2026.
Born in Burke County, NC on December 7, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Raymond Troy Holland and Drusilla Lail Holland.
Wanda was a member of Rainhill Wesleyan Church. She worked as a dispatcher at the Burke County Sheriffs Office for over 20 years and was a First Responder and EMT with Brendletown Fire Department. She loved to go on cruises with her husband, and she loved to read books.
A loving and devoted mother and grandmother, she is survived by her daughter, Donna Keller (Bart); grandchildren, Tyler Keller and Austin Keller; brothers, Donald Ray Holland and Michael Troy Holland (Donna); nephew, Lee Holland (Jackie); niece, Ashlee Holland; bonus family, Lynnette and Derek Bollinger, and their children, Ethan and Sebastian, and Harley Mull.
In addition to her parents, Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, Harlen “Junior” Dula, Jr.; and brother, Paul Allan Holland.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at Rainhill Wesleyan Church. The funeral will be held at noon in the church with Rev. Marty Bess and Rev. Kevin Brooks officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.

I worked with Wanda at the Sheriff's department. She was a wonderful person. She enjoyed helping the people of Burke County. No matter how big or small their problem, she always made time for them. She was a good friend too. She was always willing to help out. She has a good heart. She will be missed
Donna so sorry for your loss. I loved Wanda like she was my second mom. She always had a smile on her face when she saw me and always told me how much she loved me. I will mis her dearly and I know she is dancing in Heaven, with no more pain and I know Junior is so happy to see her now. Love peace and prayers.
