Walter Earl "Red" DeHetre, Sr., 92 of Morganton died Thursday, Nov. 27, 2014. The family will receive friends at St. Matthews United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, 201 Shady Rest Rd., Morganton on Sunday, Nov. 30 from 2-4 p.m. Memorial gifts may be made to the church

Heartfelt condolences to all of Red's family. As a teenager in the Sixties, I had the pleasure of working for Red and his wife Grace for three summers in a row at the Dairy Queen store they owned in Troy, NY. Red & Grace were excellent employers! They were greatly missed by many in the Troy area.
