Walter C. Randall, 87 of Morganton, NC passed away peacefully Monday, April 2, 2018. He was born June 21, 1930 in Cleveland County, NC and was the son of the late Charlie Zero Randall and Lucy Digh Randall. Walter was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who loved his family dearly. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church where he was very active and served as a deacon for 55 years. Walter was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War. He loved traveling and fishing especially with his boys. Walter most enjoyed being outside and gardening. Everybody that ever knew Walter loved him. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers, Hal Randall, J.H. Randall, Jack Randall, Charles Randall, Larry Randall, and Buren Randall; and sisters, Millie Lackey, Adale Bolin, and Kathryn Brackett.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Swink Randall; sons, Michael Randall and wife, Cindy and their son, Jeremy Randall and Marty Randall and wife, April; sister, Janice Morrison; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m., Friday, April 6, 2018 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. The service will follow at 2 p.m. at the church with Reverends Dr. Larry Cline, Dr. Jack Hodges and Don Denton. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military honors provided by NC National Guard. Memorial contributions may be made to Burke Hospice and Palliative Care, Inc., 1721 Enon Rd., Valdese, NC 28690.
