Virginia Dare Fox Deal went to live eternally with Christ her Lord on May 29, 2007. She passed away at her home after a long illness under the gentle care of Burke Hospice. Mrs. Deal was born in Burke County on September 24, 1939 and was a daughter of the late Thomas and Rosa Etta Fox. Virginia was the last member of her family and was also preceded in death by a number of brothers and sisters.Surviving are her husband, Donald D. Deal; daughters, Lisa Pinson and Helen Duckworth; a son, Steven Crane; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; four step-children; nineteen step-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. We all give praise to our Heavenly Father for her life, and we honor her with tender love and affection. We wish to express our heartfelt gratitude to Burke Hospice for their professional support and loving care.The funeral will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, May 31, 2007, at Mt. Home Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Gamble and Rev. David Orders officiating. Burial will follow at Burke Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 3:00 p.m. Thursday at the church. At other times the family will be at the residence, 109 Drexel Rd.Memorial contributions may be made to Burke Hospice and Palliative Care, Inc., 1721 Enon Rd., Valdese, NC 28690.
