Vickie Karen Coffey, 54, of Morganton died Sunday, June 28, 2015. Born in Meeker, Oklahoma on May 9, 1961, she was the daughter of the late Clebrin Burns and Sybil Lewis Burns. Vickie enjoyed being with family and writing poems. She loved to clean her home.
She is survived by her children, Edward Burns of Winston-Salem, NC and Jennifer Cooper and her fiancé, Jason Kiddy, of Morganton; step-daughters, Jessica Coffey and Heather Matthews; grandchildren, Audra Thula Burns and Bryson Everette Kiddy; a step-granddaughter, Kryssy Connell; a brother, Mark Allen Burns; a niece, Angela Campbell; a great-niece, Destiny Campbell; a great-nephew, Scott Campbell; her mother-in-law, Mary B. Coffey; a good neighbor, Gail Price; and her close friend, Autumn Sellers.
The memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 2, 2015 at Burkemont Baptist Church with the Rev. Eddy Bunton officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to Sossoman Funeral Home, P.O. Box 2608, Morganton, NC 28680 to assist the family with expenses.
