Veronica “Star” Dion, 30 of Morganton, NC passed away on Thursday, May 17, 2017. She was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on April 13, 1987 and was the daughter of Robert Scott Dion and Dorothy Lee Logan. Star was a loving sister and friend. She was full of spirit and grew up to be a very beautiful mature young woman. Star will be greatly missed by many.
In addition to her parents she is survived by sisters, Anna Dion and Savanna Rose; grandmother, Adrian Dion; grandfather, Robert A. Dion; boyfriend, Derrick Tate; and special friends, Debbie Thompson and Justin Randolph.
A celebration of life will be held at 5:30 pm, Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at Mt. Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Jeff Burkhimer officiating. The family will receive friends at the church following the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center, P.O. Box 2608, Morganton, NC 28680 to help with funeral expenses.
