Travis Stuart Propst

Travis Stuart Propst, 51, of Burke County, passed away peacefully on September 3, 2026.

Travis was born in Caldwell County and was the son of Stuart Propst and Linda Michael Propst. He was preceded in death by his father, Stuart Propst. Travis was a hardworking man who owned and operated his own drywall construction business for 20+ years. He took great pride in his work and was known for always working hard to provide for the people he loved.

Outside of his work, Travis found happiness in the simple things in life. He loved working on his farm, sitting on his porch, and caring for his three Great Pyrenees and his goats. His home and his farm were places where he found peace, and the memories he made there will be cherished forever.

Above all else, Travis was a father who loved his children with his whole heart. His family meant everything to him, and he was proud of his children and the people they had become.

He leaves behind his mother, Linda Michael Propst; his son, Travis Justin Propst; his daughter, Emily Grace Holmes and her husband, Tyler; and his sisters, Teresa Propst and Tammy Bowman and her husband, Mark. He also leaves behind his beloved nieces, Ashley Greene and Alexis Loveland.

Travis will be remembered for his hard work, his love for his family, his devotion to his animals, and the many memories he created throughout his life. Though his time here was far too short, the love he gave and the impact he had on those around him will remain forever.

Services for Travis will be private and will be held with immediate family. The family kindly asks that there be no visitors at this time and that their privacy be respected as they grieve the loss of their loved one. They appreciate everyone’s love, prayers, and understanding during this difficult time.
