Travis Lee Thomas, 45, of Morganton passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 7, 2022. Born in Rutland County, VT on July 16, 1976, he was the son of Adrien Thomas, Sr. and Diane Marie St. Denis Thomas. Travis was a member of Icard Church of God. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who dearly loved his family. He enjoyed cooking and was a handyman who could fix anything. Travis loved to wrestle and watch wrestling and demolition derbies on television. He most enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Travis is survived by his wife, Candace Beth Parton Thomas; children, Josh Wilson, Savannah Thomas (Tyler Woodard), Jamie Thomas, and Samantha Patton; grandchildren, Layla Davis and Kaden Thomas; sisters, Melissa Oakes and Sherri Snow (Kevin Auten); brothers, Adrien Thomas, Jr. and Paul E. Thomas (Ellen); and a number of nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Travis was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ruth St. Denis Cram and Harry St. Denis; and paternal grandparents, Paul Thomas and Marcelline Thomas.
Services for Travis will be held at a later date.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
