Tony Carroll Gilbert, 69, of Morganton, NC, passed away Thursday, October 23, 2025.
Born in Caldwell County, NC on September 10, 1956, he was the son of the late Thomas William Gilbert and Ivaleen Chapman Gilbert. Tony was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed watching sports and was an avid fan of the Tarheels.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Kim Gilbert; sons, Benjamin Gilbert (Margie) and Travis Gilbert (Robin); grandchildren, Asya Gilbert and Kora Sanders; and a sister, Rhonda Travis (Billy).
In addition to his parents, Tony was preceded in death by a daughter, Tabitha Gilbert.
The cryptside service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, October 27, 2025 in the chapel at Burke Memorial Park Mausoleum with Rev. Barry Gouge officiating.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
