Tina Biggerstaff Clontz of Church St., Glen Alpine, NC died unexpectedly Wednesday, November 8, 2006 at her residence. She was born in McDowell County, NC and was a daughter of the late Paul and Ruth Houck Biggerstaff. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Amos Adrain Clontz; a brother, Lawrence Biggerstaff; and a granddaughter, Jennifer Leigh Clontz. Mrs. Clontz owned and operated Tina’s Beauty Shop in Glen Alpine for a number of years. In 1993 Tina went to work for Broughton Hospital as a C.N.A. until her retirement in 2000. Currently she was employed at McAlpine Long Term Care .Mrs. Clontz attended First Advent Christian Church.

Surviving are a son and his wife, Rick and Sandra Hardin Clontz, of Morganton; a daughter and her husband, Gail and R. W. Dale, of N. Myrtle Beach, SC; grandchildren, Ty Adrain Clontz, Wesley Dale, and Tyler Dale; and great-granddaughter, Katie Leigh Clontz; brothers, Larry "Puff" Biggerstaff and Tommy "Tom" Biggerstaff both of Glen Alpine, and Randy Biggerstaff and his wife, Betty, of Morganton; and sisters, Beatrice "Bea" Williams, Betty Causby, Bertha Bradshaw all of Morganton, Becky Ligon and her husband, Dick of Lexington, SC, Brenda Kemp of Little River, SC, and Barbara Cordell and her husband, Ray, of Nebo.

The funeral will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, November 12, 2006 at First Advent Christian Church with the Rev. Jim Taber officiating. Burial will follow at Burke Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:30 until 8:00 p.m. Saturday at Sossoman Funeral Home. At other times the family will be at the home, 202 Church St., Glen Alpine. Memorial contributions may be made to First Advent Christian Church, 211 Lenoir Rd., Morganton, NC 28655.
