Timothy “Tim” Hilton, 64, of Drexel, NC went to his eternal home on Monday, June 8, 2015. Born in Tampa, FL on July 6, 1950, he was the son of the late Harry Thomas Hilton and Freda Cooper Hilton. Tim was an active member of North Morganton United Methodist Church where he was a quiet and humble servant of God. He worked as an inspector for the Burke County Health Department for 23 years. Tim loved his crazy cat, Thomas, his family, his friends, co-workers, and all his church.
Mr. Hilton is survived by his niece, Amy H. Romines of Sylva, NC and her children, Mica Turpin and Alex Morgan; and a nephew, David Romines and wife, Laura, and his children, Dawson and Michaela Romines.
In addition to his parents, Tim was preceded in death by a sister, Anne Romines; a nephew, Mike Romines; and a great-nephew, Nick Morgan.
The family will receive friends Sunday, June 14, 2015 from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. at North Morganton United Methodist Church. The memorial service will follow in the church at 3:00 p.m. with the Rev. Bert Williams officiating.
