Thomas Francis Torrence, 64, of Morganton, NC died Tuesday, September 23, 2014. Born April 11, 1950 in Allegheny County, PA, he was a son of Doris Maneer Torrence of McKeesport, PA, and the late John Torrence. Thomas retired from the US Navy after 23 years of service to his country.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Bonnie Brown Torrence of the home; a son, Clint Torrence of Morganton; a daughter, Mari Torrence of Maiden, NC; and brothers, John Jay Torrence and his wife, Bonnie of White Oak, PA, and Robert Lee Torrence and his wife, Cheri of Christiansburg, VA.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 27, 2014 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center with Dr. David Mills officiating. Burial will follow at Burke Memorial Park with military rites conducted by the US Navy and the Caldwell County Veterans Honor Guard.
