Theresa Kay Ramsey

Theresa Kay Ramsey, 78, of Morganton, passed away on Saturday, June 7, 2025. She was born on March 22, 1947 in Burke County to the late Harrison Carswell and Myrle McKinney Carswell.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Ramsey.

She is survived by her sons, James Ramsey (Holly) and Jamie Brittain (Angel); daughters, Tammy Newton and Mellanie Ramsey (Adam); grandchildren, Chloe Ruff (Christopher), Joshua Brittain, Hannah Ramos, Abigail Ramos, Seth Brittain and Gavin Newton; sisters, Ann Wright (Doug) and Sherry Senter (Rick).

The family will receive friends from 10am-11am Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at Sossoman Funeral Home. The memorial service will begin at 11am in the Colonial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Dennis Carswell officiating.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
