Terri McKenna Smith, infant daughter of Terry "Buck" and Maria Greta Rice Smith, of Bennett Rd., Morganton, NC died Wednesday, December 20, 2006 at Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory, NC. She was born December 18, 2006.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by sisters, Megan Smith of Morganton and Kayla McNeely of the home; paternal grandparents, Murphy and Mary Smith of Morganton; maternal grandparents, Terry and Margaret Rice of Morganton; paternal great grandmother, Bess Smith of Morganton; maternal great grandmother, Margaret Carson of Northern Ireland; aunts and uncles, Tracey and Pam Smith, Tony and Laura Smith, Jeannie Smith, Terence and Leila Rice, Kevin and Cara Rice, and Angelene Rice and her fiancée, Darrell Fortune; and numerous cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 22, 2006 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home with Father Kenneth Whittington officiating.. Burial will follow in Pleasant Ridge Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. At other times, the family will be at the residence, 3877 Bennett Rd., Morganton. Memorial contributions may be made to Frye Regional Medical Center Neo-Natal Intensive Care Unit, 420 N.
