Teddy "Dean" Hudson, 53, of Walker’s Chapel Rd., Morganton died Friday, February 15, 2008, at Sunrise Rehab and Care following a long battle with diabetes. He was born in Burke County on November 8, 1954 and was the son of Arlene Hudson Hudson of the home and the late Louie John Hudson. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his long-time companion and mother of his children, Geraldine McGee. Dean was a member of Walker’s Chapel Baptist Church and enjoyed working on and repairing cars.Surviving in addition to his mother are his sons, Luke and John Hudson, of Anderson, SC; his daughter, Deanna Lowman and her husband, John, of Connelly Springs; grandchildren, McKenzie Hudson, Cory Dean Hudson, and Haley Lowman; his sisters, Rosa Huffman of Morganton and Mary Etta Hudson, of Glen Alpine; a niece, Tammy Saulman; and great-niece and nephew, Ashley and Dillion Saulman.The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 18, 2008, at Walker’s Chapel Baptist Church with Reverends Ronnie Lefevers and J. C. Bradley officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:30 until 8:00 p.m. Sunday at Sossoman Funeral Home where the body will remain until placed in the church 30 minutes before the funeral hour. At other times the family will be at the home on Walkers Chapel Road.
