Tammy Rena Aldredge, 54, of Coconut Beach, FL, formerly of McDowell County, NC, passed away Monday, April 21, 2025.
Born in Germany on November 19, 1970, she was the daughter of James Aldredge (Rita) of Morganton, NC and Sharon Reel Vaughn (Ernest) of Coconut Beach, FL.
Tammy attended Glenwood Elementary School in Marion and graduated from McDowell High School in 1988. She was a sweet, kind-hearted person who dearly loved her family. Tammy enjoyed crafts, scrapbooking, and watching wrestling. She was also a history buff and loved hummingbirds.
In addition to her parents, those left to cherish her memory include her sisters, Regina Aldredge and Chasitie Whitley (Jason); and nephews and nieces, Noah, Raja, Madden, Jaxx, Ana, and Piper.
Tammy was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ronald and Lola Aldredge and Jack and Marie Reel; sisters, Christy and Beverly Blankenship; and a brother, Benji Blankenship.
A celebration of Tammy’s life will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, May 3, 2025 at Nowlings Chapel Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Darvy Hensley officiating. The family will greet friends following the service.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.

I will miss her greatly. I am sorry for your loss. I hadn't seen her for many years, though I will always miss her. She was a wonderful friend.
