Sudie Crowder, 91, of Morganton went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 2, 2021. Born in Burke County, NC on June 15, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Mull and Nola Denton Mull. Sudie was a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who dearly loved her family.
Sudie is survived by her son, Gilbert Crowder (Shantel); granddaughters, Jessica Crowder (Scott) and Alexis Price; four great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Martha and Betty; several nieces, nephews, and extended family; and her special niece and caretaker, Delores Clark.
In addition to her parents, Sudie was preceded in death by her husband, Ellis Crowder; and five brothers.
The family will greet friends from 10:30 to 11 a.m., Monday, November 8, 2021 at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. in the church with Pastor Brian Buckner officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
