Steven Alan Whisnant, 58, of Morganton, NC died Thursday, June 5, 2014. Born August 14, 1955 in Burke County, NC, he was a son of the late Ned Cody Whisnant and Mary Phillips Whisnant.
Steven is survived by his wife, Patricia Hall Whisnant of the home; children, Michael Whisnant, Jennifer Whisnant, and Nicholas Whisnant, all of Morganton; step-sons, Mike Lane and Adam Lane and his wife, Tracy, all of Lebanon, TN; a step-grandson, Michael Lane of Lebanon, TN; and a brother, Phillip Whisnant of Morganton.
A private family visitation will be held at Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center with private graveside services at Burke Memorial Park. Rev. Keith Rose will be officiating at the graveside. Memorial contributions may be made to Burke Hospice and Palliative Care, Inc., 1721 Enon Rd., Valdese, NC 28690.
