Stephen Mark Swan, Sr., 70, of Morganton, NC, passed away Friday, June 27, 2025.
Born in Georgia on March 7, 1955, he was the son of the late Robert H. Swan and Agnes Ailene Greene Swan.
Stephen retired from the US Army with 22 years of service and also retired from the Ingles Distribution Center in Black Mountain.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Petra Rauber Swan; sons, Stephen Mark Swan, Jr. and Duane Swan; grandchildren, Sierra, Surrena, Camilla, and Robert Swan; nephew, Tim Swan; and niece, Becky Swan Brown.
In addition to his parents, Stephen was preceded in death by his brother, Robert H. Swan, Jr.
A memorial service for Mr. Swan will be held at 2pm on Friday, July 25, 2025 at Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
