Sharyn Fox Huss, 64, of Drexel NC, passed away unexpectedly Friday, December 26, 2014. Sharyn was born November 21, 1950 in Valdese NC. She was the daughter of Mary Deal Fox of Valdese and Roy Lee Fox of Icard. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Gregory Dane Huss of the home and her daughter Shannon Huss Cline and husband Vance Cline Jr. of Morganton; sons Brandon Dane Huss and wife Debra Bright Huss of Lexington KY; and Lance Montgomery Huss and wife Angela Bates Huss of Morganton. Grandchildren include Kasey Nichole Cline, Kallie Michele Hicks and husband Steven, and Carter Montgomery Huss of Morganton; Taylor Gregory Huss and Sawyer Bright Huss of Lexington KY; three great-grandchildren Jackson Taylor Joyce, Emma Gene Hicks, and Laura Audrey Hicks of Morganton, a sister Brenda Fox Harnack and husband Bob of Fuquay-Varina NC; a sister Angela Fox Kretzschmar and husband Mike of Morganton; and brother Tim Fox and wife Janice of Raleigh; Also mourning the family’s loss are sisters-in-law Wanda Huss Yoakum and Tamera Huss Tipton and husband Grady of Valdese; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Sharyn was a realtor for 20 years. The last 10 years she owned and operated Carolina Towne Realty. She was also a member of the Burke County and Catawba Valley Board of Realtors and Burke County Chamber of Commerce. For many years she contributed to charities for children including Toys for Tots and Shriners Circus.
The family will receive friends at Sossoman Funeral Home in Morganton Wednesday December 31 from 12-2PM. The service will immediately follow at Sossoman Funeral Home Chapel, with her brother Tim Fox officiating. The interment service will be at Burke Memorial Park in Morganton. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Toys for Tots (Morganton-nc.toysfortots.org).
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
