Selester Earl Happoldt, 70, of Drexel, NC passed away on Friday, May 28, 2021. He was born on February 9, 1951 in Burke County to the late Samuel Happoldt and Hettie Chambers Happoldt. He was a member of St. James AME Church and he retired from Sunbeam Bakery. Selester had a great sense of humor.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Hettie Johnson, Sandra Dula, and Sharon Church.
He is survived by his wife, Willie Max Happoldt; children, Christopher Happoldt and Celeste Ige; grandchildren, Timothy McMillan, Dami Ige, and Faith Nnochiri; brothers, Spencer Happoldt and Samuel Happoldt; sister, Minnie Young.
There will be services held at a later date.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
